Work comment

This duet was performed in Karlstad on 9 October 1850 by the Italian tenor Francesco Ciaffei together with an anonymous singer, according to a preserved poster dedicated to Ciaffei. He had come to Sweden in August of 1848 and probably came in contact with Dannström during 1849.
