According to a letter from Arne Aulin on 5 November, 1979, the Wilhelm Peterson-Berger Sällskapet [The Wilhelm Peterson-Berger Society] received this wedding march as a gift from Mrs. Bibbi Bergholtz, Örebro. It was composed by Peterson-Berger on the occasion of her grandparents' wedding in the Burträsk Church on 26 September, 1894.
