Work comment

According to Monumenta Musicae Svecicae: 13 the Golovin Music was compiled for the celebration of the coronation of Tsar Peter the Great of Russia in 1728. The festivities in Stockholm were arranged by Count Nikolaj Fjodorovitj Golovin (1695-1745) and were held in and outside of the so called Bååtska (later Stenbockska) palatset, adjacent to the Blasieholmstorg [a square on the Blasieholmen], where he lived at the time. (Today, the palace is owned by the Swedish Order of Freemasons.)

These eight minuets are not included in the 45 movements in BeRI 1. See separate joint post for those.
