A regional archive containing documents from various associations in Västerbotten, including local music associations.

The task of Folkrörelsearkivet in Västerbotten is to collect and store documents from Västerbotten's associations and popular/social movements. The archive and visiting centres are located in Umeå and Skellefteå. Folkrörelsearkivet in Västerbotten contains documents from the traditional popular movements; the labor and trade union movement, the free church movement, sports, various cooperative associations and the sobriety movement, but also a huge amount of material from associations concerning public education, culture and leisure as well as village archives and personal archives.
