Work comment
Komisk monolog (Humorous Monologue) is a virtuoso work for unaccompanied trombone, written for and dedicated to Lars Karlin. Connected to Staern's multimedia work SAIYAH, it brings humour and demanding solo writing into close contact. Karlin recorded the piece on his album A Swedish Trombone Wilderness.
